Aster Systems uses a pair of LM048SPA adapters as cable replacement between the till and kitchen printer.
Operation
The customer Aster Systems did some field trials and below is a snippet from their test report:
"The field test were tried out by putting a printer and LM048SPA in the back of my car as seeing how far we could go, (some strange looks were given).
We were amazed how far it went. But you might add a kitchen is never in a straight line,
So as we live in the Granite City and therefore hence went next door to our neighbour's kitchen.
We plugged the unit in and the Bluetooth LM048SPA started to flash away to pair with the Touch Screen PC Unit.
"Put the kettle on." I said thinking it would not work but as soon as the blue light stopped flashing the order for the bacon sandwich came through.
"Success! Now let's go for lunch!"
