Objective
Transmit results of Light intensity from a Luxometer wirelessly using a serial protocol. The Luxometer had to be moved all the time to get the appropriate values of light intensity and light inclination; hence it is not possible to use a serial cable. LM048 serial adapter provided a perfect solution to overcome this problem.

Tecno Ingenieria uses a pair of LM048 adapters as a serial cable replacement solution.
Operation
The PCB below (fig. 1) is used for measuring light inclination reading.
The picture below (fig. 2) shows how the PCB is installed in the Luxometer. The Luxometers are used to perform automobile techno mechanic tests. The results of light intensity (in Klux) are sent by serial protocol.
The picture below (fig. 3) shows LM048 being fitted to the Luxometer. The machine powers the LM048 by providing 5V DC on Pin9.
